  • Agenda Items: A list of the topics to be discussed. The order can vary based on the type of meeting and purpose. 
  • Time Allocation: The amount of time assigned to each agenda item to ensure the meeting stays on schedule. You can usually see this on the meeting invitation. 
  • Participants: A list of attendees, including people who said they won’t be able to make it. This will help you get an idea as to how many people are present.

2. Prioritize Topics

Next, you’ll want to come up with a list of topics for the meeting. When you get to this stage, prioritize agenda items based on how closely they align with the meeting and team goals so the most important priorities are at the front of the conversation.

It’s worth mentioning that almost every meeting will have multiple topics. A content marketing meeting will involve reviewing traffic and other results from last month, looking ahead, and teams sharing strategies where they found success. 

So, think carefully about what topics you want to cover at the meeting, and include them in the agenda.
