You know your meeting schedule has been a bit empty throughout the summer, but now September has rolled around, and everyone is back to the grind and trying to build their momentum again. It happens every year.

Schools, colleges, universities, and kindergartens will be burning their meeting systems at both ends throughout September as they introduce new teachers and new students and talk to parents about their children’s start to the new school term. That’s why we had education as our topic for August.

New Developments over the Summer

Summer is always a slower time for business and updates. People almost always want their holidays in July and August, especially with school-aged children. But that doesn’t mean we’ve been slacking off.

Business Communications Updates

Everyone knows that communication with your clients is paramount, and an essential requirement is making sure your clients know who is sending them messages. That’s why we have two new communication integrations for your better contact with clients.

SMS Gateways

In response to your requests, we have added SMS functionality to the SimplyMeet.me scheduler. If you want to send many SMS messages without getting flagged as Spam, some countries and networks will require you to have a registered number with a verified SMS gateway.

Two of the more popular SMS gateways, Twilio and Nexmo, are now integrated into the SimplyMeet.me system. All you need is an account with them, and you can link your number to your SimplyMeet.me account.

SMTP emails

Another request that makes good business sense is the integration of SMTP email. Now you can send your meeting-related emails from your own SMTP server.
If you do not use the SMTP email integration, your meeting emails will be sent from the “no-reply@simplymeet.me” address.

Both of these options are available on the paid subscription.

Change password from admin

Previously, the only way you could change a login password was to send a password change request. This is a bit cumbersome and not time efficient.
Now, we have made it possible for admins to change the user password in the Account Profile.

Unsubscribe from marketing emails

Yes, you can unsubscribe whenever you want, and it will process automatically. Previously, you had to unsubscribe manually, which was not an immediate process. However, all of our marketing emails now contain the “Unsubscribe” link that will let you avoid marketing content.

Export additional questions improvement

If you are using intake questions in your booking process and want to see each answer in your reports, here it is!
Now we show each additional question response in a separate column in the meeting export file. So you can filter your answers and make changes indicated by question responses.

Booking site calendar flow improvements

We all know that the best way to get people to book an appointment is to make it easy to get from point A to point B. That means reducing clicks and navigation. We have made changes to the booking process flow and calendar layout to reduce the number of page changes and clicks required to complete a booking. Additionally, we have improved access to the first available appointment, so clients don’t have to scroll through your calendar to find it.

Expected Autumn Releases

Sign up and login with Google, Facebook and Twitter

Love it or hate it, the ability to log in to online services with something as simple as your Google, Facebook or Twitter logins does make things a lot easier than creating new logins for all the different online tools you use.

Coming soon, log in to SimplyMeet.me with your Google, Facebook or Twitter logins for simplicity.

Add timezone display to reminders

If you and your clients work in different time zones, sometimes it might be a little confusing if your clients don’t get their reminders in the time zone that applies to them.

Soon you will be able to add a “time zone” stage to the reminder notifications, ensuring the client gets their message with the correct time zone.

Admin app

Yes, it is coming. Soon you will be able to manage and receive your meetings while you’re on the move. The New Admin app for SimplyMeet.me will significantly benefit all users.
